Who We Are

    Gene and Betty Dowell

    Pastor Gene is a 1987 graduate of RHEMA Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  He traveled extensively as an evangelist and ministered much to his family and community.  He has spent over thirty years in various ministry capacities, including music ministry, evangelism, and pastor.  In March 2007, he and his wife began Family Worship Center in Shelbyville, Kentucky.  Pastor Gene has a true heart for the lost and has concentrated much of his prior ministry on evangelism. 

    Betty attended RHEMA Bible Training Center in 1987 and was heavily involved in the ministry of helps at RHEMA Bible Church.  Betty was blessed to be able to stay home with her children while Gene traveled, supporting him greatly from home.  She spends her time in prayer and stresses a powerful prayer life as key to a successful Christian walk with the Lord.  Her desire is to see everyone walk in the fullness of what God has for them.
