Greetings in the name of our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I pray you are growing in the knowledge of the Lord, walking in His blessings and having that assurance
on the inside of you that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you:  Philippians 4:13.  It is so
wonderful to be a Christian!  Amen!

I love to pray, I always have.  Now being a pastor's wife and helping to lead a body of believers I feel
compelled to pray, to stay ever so close to the voice of God. I listen to the whispers of the Holy Ghost leading
me to pray out things and leading in certain directions.  Prayer is wonderful.  The more you pray the more you
will want to pray.  This communion with the Lord is vital as far as your growth in Him- you're walking in that
authority that you have in Him.  It makes a difference for you whether you handle life with the abundance of
God's Word on the inside of you coming forward.  That's victory!   Or, if you are going to be what James 1:6
talks about as one wavering like a wave of the sea driven by the wind of life and being tossed.

As I was praying at the beginning of the year, the Lord had me pray that His people would step on over
into deeper places with Him.  I have shared this with our people in our church over and over again, but I know
this is for the Body of Christ as a whole.  God wants us to get to the point in our walk with Him where we are
so full of His Word that when attacks come, and attacks will come; that you are so full of God's Word that that
is what will come out of you.  Matthew 12:34, the B part of that verse in the Amplified version, says:  For out
of the fullness- the overflow, the superabundance- of the heart, the mouth speaks.

God wants us to know Him; to know that we can have that assurance of His Word working in us.  Just
like Paul said in II Timothy 1:12 KJV:  I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep
that which I have committed unto Him against that day.    Paul knows the Lord.  Paul knew Him because he
fellowshipped with Him.  Paul talked and spent time with Him.  Paul knew the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is a charge from the Lord to spend more time in uninterrupted prayer with Him; to listen to His
leading and act on it: to read your Bible and learn what the scriptures are saying.  We all desire a closer walk
with the Lord- the choice being ours.  So let's be good, well-adapted soil for the planting of God's Word.  To
hear His word,- receive His Word- and accept and welcome it and bear fruit: Mark 4:20.

                                                                                                      Living and loving the Word,

                                                                                                                                       Betty
